Steven - How tall are you? There are old postings on this forum that have a seat fix that worked for me. It says basically to shim up/raise the seat retainer plate located over the tank hold down bolts by adding washers/spacers shims etc.under it. It may take some trial and error to get it right for you. I'm 5'9" and used 3/8" of shims. Had to go to the local auto parts store to get 2 longer 10mm bolts because I shimmed past the length of the old ones. What this essentially does is level off the seat instead of slanting downward causing you to slide forward, I allows you to sit in a pocket near the rear of the seat at the widest section.
